Luxury modern apartment (3 bed, 2 bath) situated in a lovely residential area of La Azohia village on the Coast Calida. The property is modern and spacious making it an ideal holiday home for families and couples.

The apartment is situated on the first floor which is accessed by stairs and a separate lockable gate for extra security. There is a large balcony/terrace at the front, ideal for dining and sitting out, and further stairs leading to the huge upper solarium with plenty of garden furniture for you to use at your leisure including sunbeds and BBQ. There is also a covered Pergola with table and chairs so you can dine alfresco surrounded by the breathtaking elevated views of the mountains and sea, this is a great place to watch the sunset.

The entrance door leads into the large open plan living space, which has two sofas, dining table and chairs and flat screen TV. There is a good sized modern fitted kitchen with white goods (tall fridge/freezer, oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher), and new appliances. The corridor leads to the main bathroom with basin, shower and toilet and the three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a large bed and an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. The second double bedroom is a good size with two twin beds, the third bedroom has a single bed. All bedrooms have ample wardrobe and storage space. All rooms have aircon.

There is free WiFi and Satellite TV in the apartment.

A secure communal pool is within a few minutes walking distance accessed by a key for residents use only.

Parking is available for one car.

The apartment is situated in a quiet residential area away from any busy roads, but close enough to the beach and sea, which is a short stroll away. There are mountain views on one side and the sea on the other. The local amenities, bars, restaurants, pharmacy and supermarket are also within walking distance. In high season there are beach bars and water sports available. La Azohia is famous for locally caught fish and magnificent sunsets, which you can fully appreciate at either the local traditional Spanish restaurants and bars or on the roof terrace or balcony of the apartment.

Whilst there is a limited bus service from the village of La Azohia that takes you to either Puerto de Mazarrón or Cartagena, car hire is highly recommended to fully appreciate this beautiful area. The property makes an ideal base from which to explore the area. However, if you are looking for a relaxing holiday in the sunshine then airport transfers can be arranged at an additional cost.

La Azohia is a charming fishing village located on the Costa Calida in Murcia, Spain. Situated in a beautiful coastal region at the eastern end of the Gulf of Mazarron. The area is unspoilt by tourism and therefore retains its traditional Spanish charm characterised by long stretches of golden sand, crystal clear seas and a wonderful natural setting. The beach has been awarded a Blue Flag for quality, cleanliness, facilities and safety, including crystal clear clean water, hence the popularity with snorkelling and divers alike. Also recognised is a Blue Footpath along the seafront walk between the churches of La Azohia and Isla Plana (the neighbouring village).

The coast here is very popular with divers, there are two diving centres in the village offering dives and organised courses for all levels. The snorkelling is also very good.

La Azohia and the Costa Calida enjoy a typical Mediterranean climate, with cool sea breezes in summer and protection from the surrounding mountains against the cold North winds in winter. The area averages nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature easily exceeds 20 degrees.

The Costa Cálida is approximately 250 km stretch of Mediterranean coastline of the Spanish province of Murcia. This region has a micro-climate, hence its name ?warm coast?.

Due to the warm climate in the Costa Calida, the area is ideal for year round living therefore long term rentals are available upon request.

La Azohia is great for walking/hiking, either along the beach or surrounding countryside, cycling with breathtaking mountain views, good diving, snorkelling and fishing. You will also find tennis courts and horse riding in the area and Terra Natura water park in Murcia, approximately one hour drive.

The region of Murcia is famous for golf you are therefore spoilt for choice in the area. La Manga golf resort is within easy driving distance from the apartment as are many other resorts.

Isla Plana, the neighbouring village, is easily accessed by walking along the beach or driving along the winding beach road. You will find a few shops, pharmacy, supermarket, restaurants and bars in the centre.

Puerto de Mazarrón is a 10 minute drive (5k) where you will find more shops, restaurants, bars, many large supermarkets and a lovely marina. In high season there is plenty to enjoy, with boat trips, tourist train and more. In the quieter winter months the beaches and marina prove to be a draw for couples, families and children of all ages.

Cartagena is a 30 minute drive. The city is rich in cultural and military history with a number of historical places to visit including a Roman Theatre, Museum, Castle and Marina. The port is a major focal point, a hive of activity and hosts various festivals throughout the year. The city is easy to walk around with many retail outlets, markets, restaurants and bars and is full of stunning architecture. One of the largest shopping centres in Murcia is the Centro Comercial Espacio Mediterraneo where you will find many designer shops, restaurants and cinema, very easy to access directly off the motorway.

Whatever the season, there is something close by to enjoy!
